The is growing. IFrom the annual contemporary performance SandBox Series to being the new home for Mad Cat Theater Company, MTC has redefined itself as a vibrant center of culture in sleepy Miami Shores.
Through June 2, MTC presents “” a theater performance that fuses magic, myth and mystery. “Inanna and the Huluppu Treet” takes theatergoers back 4,000 years to a time when Inanna, the Sumerian goddess of sexual love, fertility and warfare, confronts a series of perplexing problems. In the end, as all powerful goddesses do, Inanna restores harmony to the a city ravaged by chaos and calamity.

Written and by MTC Artistic Director Stephanie Ansin and Resident Artist Fernando Calzadilla, and directed by Ansin, the true magic of “Inanna and the Huluppu Tree” emerges from a broad collaboration that includes original music and sound design by Luciano Stazzone, choreogrpahy by Octavio Campos, specialty props, masks and puppets by Jim Hammond, aerial choreography by Ileigh Reynolds and flying effects by ZFX Flying Effects.
