Scott highlighted good economic news in the state, something of a contrast to Romney’s downbeat comments a few minutes later about persistently high unemployment and economic stagnation. “We cannot continue to go down the path we’ve been going down…just an anti-business attitude,” Scott said. “We need jobs. In Florida, we’ve done it! We’ve cut regulation, we’ve cut taxes, we’ve streamlined permitting. And guess what? The biggest drop in unemployment in the country is in our great state of Florida!”
